IQAC Best Practices

1. Promotion of Prakrit Language: Efforts and Results – The word Prakrit means nature or the original Sanskrit, the language derived from it is called Prakrit. Prakrit is directly related to Sanskrit. Sanskrit has developed into Prakrit, Prakrit into Abphrasha and Abphrasha into the Aryan languages of North India to effectively present the Prakrit language and its literature in our ancient literature throughout India. The ultimate objective of the college is to awaken the interest of scholars and students in the endangered language by preserving and spreading the Prakrit language. Most of the ancient literature of Jainism is written in Prakrit language. Therefore, the objective of the college is to study and teach literature written in Prakrit and to organize seminars on various topics related to it from time to time so that in the future Scholars and clowns should be able to benefit the entire society by revealing the miraculous meaning of the literature of Prakrit

2. Dashalakshan Parva – Camps for spreading the teachings of Jainism – The main objective of these camps organized every year is to spread the teachings of Jainism. Not only the Jain community but all the people of the community are to be inspired to live a life of dedication to the country by giving them the best education.

The Ten Characteristic Festivals are celebrated to orient the 10 special qualities towards the soul. This festival comes three times a year for the purpose of self-purification so that the soul does not forget these 10 special qualities and fall into worldly Maya. Digamber Jain Samaj celebrates this festival with great joy, enthusiasm and happiness starting from Panchami of Bhadrapad till Chaturdashi. Gradually, the teachings of the Ten Characteristics Festival are being influenced and spread on all societies.

The purpose of these Dashalakshan festivals is to move from Raga to Vairagya. This festival urges leaving things instead of collecting them. It teaches how to perform austerities, sacrifices and penances.
